COMPOSITION: Doxycycline (hiclate) 100 mg, excipients s.q. 1 ml.
INDICATIONS: Treatment of infections of the respiratory or digestive system caused by the above microorganisms. Chlamydia treatment.
INTENDED SPECIES: Canaries and ornamental birds.
DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION: TABERNIL DOXICICLINA is administered with drinking water, for 5 consecutive days, at the dose of 5 ml for every 1.5 liters of water, which is equivalent to 4 drops for every 60 ml of water. The water with the solution must be prepared daily (before administration). In the case of treatment of chlamydia, administer directly 0.5ml/kg of body weight, equivalent to 1 drop per 100 g of body weight, twice a day, for 45 consecutive days.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not administer to animals with reported sensitivity to tetracyclines. ADVERSE EFFECTS: Cases of photosensitivity have been reported. In long-term treatments, digestive abnormalities may occur, due to a disturbance of the intestinal flora. INTERACTIONS: Avoid administering it together with calcium and/or iron supplements during treatment, as absorption of the antibiotic may be reduced. STORAGE: Keep the bottle tightly closed, in a cool and shady place.
