Cranberry extract 125mg (Vaccinium macrocarpon) contains anthocyanins (PAC A2, PAC B2, 3-PAC) which prevent bacteria (eg Escherichia coli) from adhering to the epithelial cells of the urinary tract inside the bladder.
Valerian extract 40mg (Valeriana officinalis) has soothing properties that are beneficial for cats with FLUTD or idiopathic cystitis.
Parsley extract 50mg (Petroselinum sativum) has diuretic properties (increases the volume of urine) and facilitates the removal of pathogenic bacteria from the urinary tract.
Glucosamine 84mg is a precursor of glycosaminoglycans, components of the intercellular substance that covers the mucosa of the lower urinary tract. Glucosamine reduces the permeability of the bladder wall to bacteria and toxins.
